Full Size Mattresses
Also referred to as “double beds,” full size mattresses measure in at 54” wide by 75” long. Standard full beds maintain the same length as twin mattresses, but offer 16 inches of additional width. Slightly smaller than a queen, the BedInABox® full is great for smaller bedrooms, but still offers plenty of space to spread out.

Buying a Foundation for a Full Size Bed
Create a more supportive sleeping experience by pairing your full size mattress with a full size foundation. A mattress foundation serves as a base for your mattress and generally uses solid planks or slats to support and lift your mattress off the ground. There are different types of foundations suited to different mattresses and sleep preferences, BedInABox® currently offering three options compatible with a full mattress: a slatted foundation, a platform foundation and an adjustable foundation.

What is the standard size of a full mattress?
What is the difference between a twin XL and a full?
The twin XL mattress size measures 15 inches narrower than a full size, and 5 inches longer with 38” x 80” dimensions. While both mattress sizes are great options for smaller sleep spaces, full size beds are a better option for couples who prefer a super cozy sleep environment or individuals who like lots of sleep space.
Can an adult sleep in a full bed?
Yes, but we primarily suggest full beds for solo sleepers. If you do not share your bed, then a full mattress gives you plenty of space to stretch out. Once the kids or pets start climbing in, a full size mattress may start feeling a bit small.
How many BedInABox® mattresses come in the Full size?
Five of our six BedInABox® mattresses are offered in the full size. The only mattress that is not currently available in full size is the Eco-Lux® mattress.
Can any room fit a full size mattress?
Full mattresses are a very reasonable size, but they may not work in every room! To fit a full size mattress comfortably in your space, we recommended that you have at least 120 square feet of living space. Anything smaller than 10 x 12 may start to feel tight, especially if you are outfitting the space with other furnishings.
